Atomatically insert the user name

Postby meumeufr » Mon Oct 26, 2009 3:23 am

Hi there,
I made a form using ckforms 1.3.3. This form can be filled out only by registred users. That part is working fine but i would like create a field which would be automatically filled out with the user name. Same name that the user is using to register on the website. Is it possible and if yes can someone tell me how to do that ?
Thanks

Hi,

At the moment it's not possible but I add the request to the TODO list.

I move the topic to the "Feature request" forum.

Hi CKforms team,

first of all a congratulation to this nice and handy Joomla component!

Just to increase the priority of this feature request I confirm the demand of this feature!

I want to publish a registration form for an event next year. Because I don't want to oblige my visitors to enter all their data severalfold I'm interested to use their username and email automatically in the registration form. Additional it would be a guarantee for me that the registration was send from a known registered member of my community.

Because I don't know how complicated it would be to implement this feature, how important other user rate this feature and how many time you have free for this great project: Do you see a chance to insert this feature till beginning of 2010?

Regards and thanks in advance
Heyfisch

PS: I would show my thankfulness by donating up to 10€ (is this a further motivation :-)?)

Hi Ck Forms team,
You've made a fantastic form.

I also like to see a option to auto fill the username + emailaddress.

Is there a possibility to make also street, city, bankaccount etc to auto fill in.
Do you know a option to put addressinfo in a useraccount ?
I hope you have time to make this. (If not, it's no problem)
Thanks in advance !

greetings,
Stef

Hi pedrino,

I wait unpatiently for your new version you promised in this post till end of 2009 including the feature we are talking here about.
Because I have to publish a new form the next days I would be happy to have this feature.
Do you yet see a publishing day?
(If you're not ready yet no problem, don't hurry :!:I just want to avoid publishing my new form on the eve of a new version)
Thanks in advance and regards

I've successfully done this by adding some extra code in com_ckforms\views\ckforms\tmpl\default.php
I've included some screenshots of what I did, just click the link below...

Let me know if anyone has any problems with this..

I get an unable to connect error.

In addition to the user, it would be nice to have the system date populate a last_updated field in the table.
